Hi HoboNickels Developer ;)=================

Hmm I'm not sure. I did it on 2 of my machines, no problems. I am testing a 3rd now. You did remove the 3 pieces of data as requested in the "Important Information" section?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as you stay at the highest chain you are in good shape.

=================

You was right about the Important Information Section.

I deleted the folder and the files and redownload the new OK chain. ;)

No more error message :)

As Newbie I'm not a shamed to ask you a second question and more in precise the SOLO MINING stuff :)

What about, well I can't connect 2 miners to my Laptop and even CGMiner on board of the 2 miners can't connect/authenticate in localhost.

The password is something as 1234 coin3 so I can't missed to type such basic string.

This is my HOBO config maybe I'm doing something wrong in here ;)

--------------------------

#rescan=1listen=1daemon=1server=1rpcuser=coinrpcpassword=passport=7372rpcport=7373rpcconnect=127.0.0.1rpcallowip=192.168.0.150rpcallowip=192.168.0.151addnode=69.85.86.195addnode=74.196.48.62

--------------------------

Can you be so kind to spend a minute to let me understand what is the problem and how to solve it?

Thank you in advance ;)

Mr.Hobo aka VGold

No shame ever in asking newbie or not.

As far as your config you are right on.  So the issue is most likely on your cgminer config settings. Are you connecting to the correct IP/port and user/pass on that?

It could also be the name and placement of your config file. It should be called (case is important) HoboNickels.conf in the %appdata%/HoboNickels directory

Let me know if that helps..

I'm game to try it. Where can I find it?

https://github.com/Tranz5/HoboNickels/releases/tag/1.2.1.2

Pre-release so I only included the exe. Just over-write the one you are running. Please let me know if you have any further issues.

Thanks

Hi DEV ;)

you ask for ideas, ok. ;)

A daemon would be GREAT, a daemon for a pro is a must, a mere necessity, personally I like to look the logs passing :).

The client that I have is loading really slow, about 5 minutes of loading, I'll try with others machines, and let you know.

The button for the "Debug Window" is nice and usefull, I'll add olso on the right of that a new button for the "Console" access.

Sorry, I know you will hate me but, the train is not the best choice for the overview button in my opinion :). LOL

The standard buttons are just fine, in case you need some really pro design icons you could rise up a donation to pay somebody to made tham specific for the Hobo wallet, maybe using the real hobo coins as design base :)Taking in consideration that ther is olso a wikipedia page talking about hobo nikel art I'll put olso a link or a menu link that point to that cool stuff and  page, just to make people know about that nice and cool stuff :).

What about the solo mining, a private and very personal mining that in some wallets I see and in some cases used successfuly.

The RPC connections for localhost mining are a problem, I know people mine around with that client but I can't, is ther's a trick fo use??

I'm impatient to see that stake rising and the ability to manage more than one saving wallets :)

I personally believe that Hoboz will be one of the most interesting crypto currencies out there thanks to that stake stuff in my opinion.Olso the prices on exchanges are midely high, 1100BTC Cents for a  HOBO thanks olso to proverbial low/modest reward, low reward coins have proven to be good and secure investment.

Hope you find someting useful from all that.

Just continue the actual great job and tempo :)

Hey I appreciate all your feedback! I will take it into consideration as further updates are released.

I have sent you a thank you for your time.

As far as the icons, mostly I was trying to play around a bit. I agree they are a bit hockey.  And as we get deeper into the release schedule I expect these will be much cleaner and more professional. But lets have a bit fun for now :-)

By daemon I assume you mean a headless version. I could begin to release those in the future. Although most people that want one simply compile the code themselves.

I have considered adding the mining directly into the wallet, as LTC does. That will only be for CPU mining though, which for now will work.

As far as the price and stake and future. There are a few things that need to kept in mind. With the soon to be stake fix taking effect, the coin will inflate a lot more. Will this cause further price drops, probably, but we shall see.

Also there may need to be some change to some part of the algo, max coins, block reward halving, higher stake/difficulty fluctuations, something . To ensure this can survie for many years to come. I'm not sure on the best answer yet, but as with everything patients is warranted.

Hi Tranz,

thank you for your generouse donation :)

This is nice:Although most people that want one simply compile the code themselves.

Can you provide me with a link or guide to do that??

So with that knowledge I can demonize every coin?

You say:

With the soon to be stake fix taking effect, the coin will inflate a lot more.

You mean that because the HOBOz will doubled thanks to stake effect??A question, the stake is constant of 1 hobo can stack only while it become 2 hobos?

Than you once again for your donation and for your time ;)

The first time I started version 1.2.1.0 it seemed like it took a long time to load even though this was a fresh installation for me. After it was done loading the block chain it gave the error (“WARNING: Checkpoint is too old... I removed the ( blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat and database directory) from %appdata% and the application started right up and updated without error.

I really like this concept and application but I'm very new at all this so I really have nothing to compare it with. I've been transitioning to Ubuntu 12.04 so I've been looking at the source and trying to get up to speed enough to build the code. I'd like to make a simple headless version that I could integrate with a web application – wish me luck.

We got suspended from Cryptsy for a large roll back due to PoS and PoW not playing nice. I am doing all in my power. Any help from Sr. Dev's would be greatly appreciated.I am not going to abandon this coin, so please stick with us.  We'll get this sorted out.

I believe I have the problem localized and addressed. I am doing some initial testing and then i will release a mandatory update.

Please do NOT attempt to run stake until I give the word. Make sure to run clients with -reservebalance=999999

I have been running many test and pouring over log files. I am confident 1.2.1.3 will fix the issue.

As stated the mistake was caused by using an int 64 instead of a CBigNum in the GetProofofStake.

When the client went to check the proof of stake, it saw it greatly exceed the amount the algo sent back and set the error and tried to drop the block.

The new version will correctly show the amount that a stake can receive and allow it go through.

Hey everyone. Sorry to do this to you. But I was doing a code review with another person and we found an issue with 1.2.1.3. With the fix to the int64 to cbignum the reward would've started giving 1000% percent interest! YIKES! It could've been another CENTS.We have caught it in time but now I need your help to make sure we are all on the same chain come Nov 4 23:00 GMT. Less then 40 hours from now!So please upgrade right away! Here are the links. I am sending out alerts and PMs to all who have been in this thread.https://github.com/T...ses/tag/1.2.1.5
