I'm investing in Quarks. I think the 6 month mass mine is brilliant, not too many units IMO. I also believe a deflationary currency will not be adopted by the general population. Not to say BTC won't have it's place... but that place is not going to be 'worldwide currency' IMO. The inflation is a key attribute, to me. If this coin were PoS it would be almost perfect.

Maybe clone this yourself, call it 'tachyon' [ faster than light particle ] and add POS plus greatly reduce the 6 month flash mint... make it more 'rare'. ;)

I'm a web developer so if you need any help with a website or whatnot let me know. I'm currently working on the Bottlecaps foundation web.

Hi Jimmy,

I am a member of bitcointalk , same username (Guido) I have flagged this thread up to developer, he will be in touch soon

it seems all information is correct EXCEPT the quarkcoin.net link as faucet

the user above posting it is a scammer(QuarkCoin username here), and that site has malware designed to steal coins

please see official ANN thread at bitcointalk

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.0

it warns against the .net site and gives official links and site

quarkcoin.org is official community site. see first post and more info in thread

that user above calling himself QuarkCoin is the scammer who has been stealing coins and ran the cpucoin scam

see this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=278236.0

username; rumbitla

I am sure if you speak to some head mods at bitcointalk and compare ip address, you have the same person

please can you resolve this? thanks

to repeat, do not click any of those .net links he has posted above and the faucet link needs removing from top post as people will get infected pcs and lose coins

Hi All

Sorry for not registering here earlier.

I am the developer of Quark coin.

The official Quark downloads are available from quarkcoin.org, from the bitcointalk forum, and in future from the first post here.

The downloads from quarkcoin.net are not official Quarkcoin releases.

Thanks

Hey just a quick question about something i figured out today about QRK mining.

- The probably biggest QRK pool (qrk.coinmine.pl) currently does about 2300MH/s
- The pool also claims to have ~1000 workers online
-> so its 2300KH/s in average

Unfortunately im relatively new to QRK mining.. but im a software guy so i tuned "uncle-bobs" quarks CPU miner and optimized stuff a bit. However, I was not able getting more than about 650KH/s on an i7 2600k... which seems a normal value according to some forum threads. This raises me some eyebrows about the hardware or software being currently used by a significant portion of QRK miners. Is it possible that someone already started QRK FPGA mining long ago without telling others? otherwise it would mean that my setup is about 4x times slower than average, which i doubt.

regards,
will

According to the official github source, I made the first commit on this project.

I have no recollection of this >_>
