Hi, I was thinking about redrawing the peer map and perhaps even creating a script for online monitoring, using my own node data. But is there any way how to extract the information form the file? Internet says it's a Berkeley DB file, but I only found guides on how to open it in Linux.

I don't think there is any tool that will do this. Probably the easiest way is a quick modification to the source, and just have it print out what data you are looking for.
