What makes crypto-coins fail, die, go out of business?

I'm looking for specific things that are tied to a coin failing. I heard many coins fail because they're dumped and so value leaves the economy. What else makes them fail?

Well, pretty much anything can. The absence of unique features, features which didn't quite work in real conditions, absence of investors, inability to convert into fiat, name it. More and more try to make an appearance on the market therefore even more will fail.
